Frequently Asked Questions

Q.    Why must I make my reservation in advance?

A.    We must inform the hotel banquet and catering departments far in advance about our attendance expectations so they know how many meals to prepare and what staff to hire.

Q.    Do you give refunds?

A.    Yes, if we are notified 5 days in advance of event.

Q.    If I don't want the dinner packages, can I pay at the door without a reservation?

A.    Yes, providing there is seating available.  Also, door prices are usually higher.  It is always better to make your reservation in advance.

Q.    Is there a dress code?

A.    With the exception of our Valentine's and Christmas events, the attire is dressy-casual.  Our Valentine's event is semi-formal.

Q.    Is there dancing at the events?

A.    Only at the Valentine's and Polkafest events.  The others are concert/banquet-type events.

Q.    Do you accept checks?

A.    We are happy to accept your personal check.

Q.    What are the seating arrangements?

A.    We have found that people generally like to be seated with friends.  If we assign seating, we run the risk of offending our guests.  Therefore, unless an entire table is purchased, we no longer assign seats.  We suggest you arrive early to find a good seat to enjoy the event.  Please do not leave unattended valuables at your table or seat.  We cannot be held responsible for stolen or lost articles, such as purses, etc.

Q.    Are your banquets plated or buffet style?

A.    Our Accordion and Christmas events are buffet style.  The hotel provides a themed snack bar for The Polkafest.  Our Valentine's dinner/dance is a plated, more formal affair.

Q.    Do you allow vendors at your events?

A.    Yes.  We charge per table.

Q.    Can vendors advertise in your printed programs?

A.     Yes; call Corky at (775) 287-2050 for pricing.

Q.     What is "The King of Reno Rewards Program?"

A.    Each time you purchase a ticket to one of our events, you are automatically enrolled in the program and accrue points based on the price of your ticket.  Once you reach 1000 points, you become eligible for a free full-price ticket to the next event of your choice.  To learn more, please visit www.kingofreno.com.

Q.    How do I find out how many points I've accrued through the King of Reno Rewards program?

A.    Give Monica a call at toll-free 1-855-266-9847.  If she doesn't answer, it means she's on another line or away from the office.  Please leave her a message and she will be happy to return your call.
